The Josephine Collection’s Managing Director, Denise Joseph, is a lawyer who was educated at Oxford University and The George Washington University, where she served as the President of The Art and Cultural Heritage Law Society. She was trained in Art Business and Fine Art Appraisal at NYU and regularly satisfies current Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice examination and continuing education requirements.
A patient private collector, she brings to Josephine not only her pragmatic understanding of the law and her professional experience at The Smithsonian Institution’s Freer and Sackler Galleries, but an exacting discernment in matters of art authentication and transactional communication. Denise also equips Josephine with a truly international social and professional network developed during years of strategic issues advising that proves invaluable to clients.
